Kitteh Massage!

I'm stressed out... this thing about sleeping, eating, walkies, checking the pee-mails... it gets to a dawg after awhile.

Some days, I'm not sure what to do next and I get all worked up... what I need is a good massage.

It's nice to know that the cat is good for something...

Hey Orange... a little bit more to the left there.

Ruh Roh... guess he doesn't like orders or being called Orange...

Oh Yeah... that's the spot!  I think I'll just close my eyes and enjoy this...

What? Hey!  What do you mean my session is over?

Hey mom... you know you aren't supposed to pet the cat right?  Now he thinks he doesn't have to cater to my every whim...

Mom!  Pet me instead...

The Usual Suspects...

Mom took Friday off and re-arranged the furniture and vacuumed the living room.  She vacuumed SO much she had to empty him out so she could vacuum more!  Mom emptied out the vacuums guts into a plastic bag and tied it up and put it aside.  Of course, she forgot to take it out with all the other garbages and the recycling but hey... it was just a bunch of dirt so what's the problem???

Well, mom went out for lunch today and when she came home this is what she found...

DIRTS!!!

For some reason she thinks that one of us did it...

Do these faces look like criminals?

We're trying to convince her it was the Zombie Squirrel Squad!

Too Handsome!

If there ever was a time and place to use the phrase:

'Too Handsome for Words'

This might be it!

Busy Day Saturday!

Yesterday, we had a very busy day!

Mom told us that we'd be going to the beach... How awesome is that?  Of course, we should have been suspicious... why would we go to the beach so early in the morning?

Who says you can't pee on the beach?

Yep...  it was off to the groomers for us so we made sure we got good and dirty!

and if the groomers wasn't bad enough...

Mom made an appointment at the dogtor for our check up and vaccines!

Aw you can see we tried to run far, far away!

We're sorry to say all those big sticks really impeded our progress... not to mention being attached to the walking strings!

Sam even contemplated swimming across the Juan de Fuca Strait to emigrate from Canada to the USA but the water looked way too cold!

In the end, we accepted our fate and went to the groomer...

and we went to the dogtor...

We are happy to report today that after the most trying Saturday of our lives, we are both good looking and healthy!

Pippen's Rule of Snuggling

Pippen has one rule with regards to snuggling with mom...

Snuggling with mom can only happen if:

A.  She can not easily access the flashy beast, or

B.  She is sleeping.

I'm starting to think he's onto something with that rule!  Although it could be worse... I could be getting squished like Chico Kitteh!

How NOT To Be Obedient!

Yesterday, we went out for our Sunday walkie to the park across the street.  Of course, mom had to bring the flashy beast and wanted to take bunches of pictures of the Sam.

I can't really argue with this as I am one studly specimen of dawg and who wouldn't want to see this???

Mom had this idea to take pictures of me running toward her so she went off a little way and knelt down...

"Sam! Come here!"

As you can see, I did look at her... and wondered what she was on about.  Kerazy Lady...

"Sam!  Come this way!"

"Sam!  Look here!"

What?  What should I look at?  Where?  What's going on???

"SAM!!!  COME HERE!"

Well... another failed photo shoot for the mom.

After nine years, you'd think she'd know that I don't listen!

Adventure Walkie - On Top of a Mountain!

So mom said that we'd do a forest walkie today for a change but she decided we would do something else instead.  We went up to Mt. Tolmie so that we could check out the views on another sunny January day.

Here we are at the viewpoint and if you look really close you can see that mountain from yesterday, Mt. Baker in Washington State.

While we were checking out the sites, mom went and zoomed in on the mountain again.  That's a pretty awesome mountain, right?

After we left the viewpoint area, we went down some stairs to check out some of the trails.

Once again, it was pretty quiet.  We didn't see any other dawgs and only a few other peoples.  Most of the peoples we did see were eating their lunches in their cars - you'd think they'd get out and get some sun and fresh airs, wouldn't you?

Anyways... you can see the whole city from where we were and we never thought Victoria was so big!  This picture is looking to the north...

There's lots of places to run, places to sniff and trees to pee on!

Here's some more of the city, looking south-west...

and this is looking more to the west... we think if we look hard enough you could see our house, maybe..

I tried to find it but it's a long way away from Mt. Tolmie.

Pippen was a total daredevil today... climbing rocks like a kerazy dawg!

Then, just when we were communing with nature...

Mom said, "Hey..."

"Do you dawgs wanna go to the magic cheeseburger window?"

And, well, you don't need to ask us twice!  We lickety splitted right passed mom and on to the car!

Whoo Hoo, Let's go!

The weather is turning and on our way home we could see the clouds rolling in... we just might get our forest walkie in before mom goes back to work!
